In Q1 2008, VAB Re paid over UAH 5 million under its reinsurance agreements
Alla Voloshina, VAB Re Chairman of the Board, informed about this on April 4th, 2008. Since the beginning of the year, VAB Re made several large reinsurance payments under its Casco car insurance agreements and property reinsurance agreements. Also, the company paid compensations for more than 1100 insurance cases during this period. The total amount for the three largest reimbursements reaching more than half a million UAH.

The Supervisory Board of VAB Bank has agreed to accept resignation of Mr. Petr Rasocha from the position of the Chairman of the Management Board of VAB Bank due to family reasons. However, Mr. Rasocha will continue to act as the advisor to VAB on retail business development.

Lukas Tursa is appointed as VAB Bank Deputy Chairman
VAB Bank Supervisory Board decided to appoint Lukas Tursa as the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board. In his new position Mr.Tursa will be in charge of treasury operations, international borrowings, and VAB Bank investment business.
