The VAB Bank team took the second place in the international asset and liability management competition


The VAB Bank team took the second place in the international asset and liability management competition final, the final of which was held on January 2008 in the Hague, the Netherlands.

According to Mr Lukas Tursa, Head of Treasury and Financial Institutions, the place taken attests to the high professional level of the VAB Bank specialists. “The contest for the prize-winning places was intense inasmuch as the teams in the final were strong and each of them offered ideas worth of victory” – commented Lukas Tursa.

The competition was organized by “The Netherlands Development Finance Company”  and Simarch, full-service education company. Representatives of 20 banks from different countries of Europe, South America and Asia took part in it.

“Such competition is a unique opportunity to enlarge your skills in the field of asset and liability management. Furthermore it offers excellent opportunities for the exchange of ideas and experience among the banking personnel internationally” – note organizers of the competition.
