23.10.07 Revaluation of Hryvnyas is only a matter of time
According to the acting head of risk management of VAB Bank, Alexander Omel'chenko, at present the Hryvnyas is undervalued. The correct value of the UAH/$-rate should be at a level of 4,5-4,8 UAH/$.
«The set NBU official rate of the Hryvnyas to the Dollar was not changed for more than 2,5 years, while the US Dollar has lost in value in relation to the major world currencies. The unchanged official rate of the Hryvnyas against the US Dollar does not look logical. In such a situation a revaluation of the Hryvnyas is a matter of a few months», - Alexander Omel'chenko believes.
