02.08.07 In 2007 clients of VAB Bank used their cards more than 22 000 times
In the first half of 2007 the clients of VAB Bank used their credit cards more than 12 000 times to draw money in ATM outside of Ukraine and 22 000 times VAB Bank cards were used for payments.
This is a 50 % increase in comparison to the same period last year. According to the head of department of card business of VAB Bank, Helen Soboleva-Tereschenko, even when taking into account that after the holiday season there will be a drop in the 3rd quarter of 2007 and that people prefer to go abroad for their summer holidays, it is possible to expect a continuous rise in the usage of the VAB Bank cards also in the second half-year.
As already reported, since the beginning of 2007 clients of VAB Bank have drawn from ATMs outside Ukraine an amount in currencies equivalent to UAH 19 434 000 and used their VAB Bank pay cards for purchases abroad for an amount equivalent to UAH 24 983 000.
