25.07.07 In the summer time demand on deposit boxes and credit cards increases by 20%
The summer holidays have led to an increase in the demand on VAB Bank credit cards and deposit boxes.
Since the beginning of the summer VAB Bank has issued more than 12 500 cards, including 1 480 with a credit line. It is a rise of 3 times compared to the winter period. Demand on bank boxes grew by 25%.
According to the experts of VAB Bank, since the beginning of the summer, for the services of a bank traditionally there is high demand for credit cards and bank deposit boxes. On average the market growth in this segment is approximately 20%. «Many tourists prefer not to carry on themselves large amounts cash, first of all as they do not want to declare the amounts and secondly to avoid the possibility of theft. Most comfortable for them is to use «Visa» and «MasterCard» payment facilities of the middle price category», the experts consider.
As reported before the number of the cards issued by VAB Bank has grown since the beginning of 2007 by almost 17 %. Today the number of VAB Bank cards amount to 310 000, of which 86 500 are MasterCard International and 223 700 Visa International cards. In all 69.8 % of them are debit cards and 30,2% credit cards.
