27.06.07 Number of VAB credit cards issued since the beginning of 2007 increased by 15 %
From the beginning of 2007 VAB Bank has issued almost 39 500 credit cards of the international pay system MasterCard International and Visa International.
So that the number of the cards given out by the bank increased since the beginning of 2007 by 15 %. As of 01.06.2007 the number of issued credit cards amounts to 298 thousands, of which MasterCard International are more than 76 thousands and Visa International more than 222 thousands.
VAB Bank is a principle member of the international pay system V²SA ²nternat³onal and by an affiliated member of the international pay system MasterCard ²nternat³onal and has established a long-term experience with these credit cards. According to the Head of Management of development of products of retail business of VAB Bank, Anton Shaperenkova, being a member of the international pay systems VISA International and MasterCard International, VAB Bank is participating in the dynamic development of payment by credit cards, which is one of the main activities of the bank.
VAB Bank will actively develop the project of «salaries» with the use of electronic credit cards of MasterCard/Maestro and Visa Electron. Starting from 01.06.2007 the number of enterprises and organizations served by VAB Bank within the framework of the project of «salaries» makes up more than 750. Among the partners of VAB Bank are Ukrainian Mezhbankovskaya currency exchange, DK «Ukrspetseksport», Teleradiokompaniya, «Studio 1+1», «Airline of Ukraine», National film studio Dovzhenko, Department Store «Ukraine», radio station «Our radio»,The National Aviation University, Kievan river port, Mirgorodskiy factory of mineral waters, the factory «Sumykhimprom», the fur factory «Tismennitsa» and other.
With the credit cards of MasterCard/Maestro and Visa Electron, VAB Bank has developed the programs of pensions and saving programs of payment of grants and social help for unemployed persons.
VAB Bank extends its equiring network continuously. In comparison to last year the amount of ATMS was multiplied by 2, the number of terminalsfor credit cards by 2,5 times. Equiring the network of bank covers all the regions of Ukraine.
In May of this year VAB Bank got the certificate from MasterCard International for the implementation of auction equiring on the credit cards of MasterCard and Maestro. According to the Head of Management of development of products of retail business of VAB of Bank, Anton Shaperenkova, it will enable to extend the equiring network of the bank by offering to the clients more competitive tariffs to on equiring cards of MasterCard and Maestro.
